Matthew has broad experience advising public and private companies, executives, and directors. Prior to joining Riemer & Associates, Matthew litigated at all levels of state and federal courts, including several complex class action proceedings. He was drawn to ERISA and long-term disability because he wants to help those wrongfully denied the benefits they need at a time they are least able to defend themselves. Matthew brings his wealth of experience to bear on behalf of the disabled against unscrupulous insurance companies.
Matthew received his bachelor's degree in the Honors Program of Economics at Georgetown University, Washington, DC. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where he was a book review editor for the Michigan Law Review.

Why I became a lawyer: When I was in college, I worked for a law firm where I contributed in small ways to several high-profile pro bono cases. I decided I needed to find a way to contribute more significantly.
