What I like best about my job: Assisting clients as they navigate through the complex realm of long-term disability. Learning new rules and regulations and seeing how they apply to a case. Getting to know clients on a personal level and understanding the struggle they go through. Learning about numerous medical conditions I would otherwise never known about

Why I became a paralegal: I became a paralegal because I am fascinated with law and love helping people. Combining the two, makes me appreciate the job as a paralegal and the level of responsibility it carries. I admire work performed by attorneys and assisting them has been a goal of mine for some time. The job requires being scrupulous, attentive, and empathetic – qualities which are very important in being an effective paralegal. And the reward of knowing that I play a role in helping someone obtain something so important is an amazing feeling.
