Still Not Sure?

We know what this is like.

You can’t remember your doctor’s exact words, but you’ll never forget how you felt when you heard them.  Your throat clenched and your stomach dropped.  In that moment, you knew everything would change – your career, family, home, retirement, and future.

Suddenly, everything was up in the air.  All you want is to do is regain control, but it’s not that simple.  You can’t just hire anyone to fix this.  There’s too much at stake.  This is your life on the line.  Going out on disability is a monumental step – it’s literally everything.

How can you know whether you’re making the right decision?

Going out on disability without knowing your rights and options easily can lead to disaster.  Your entitlement to benefits easily can be forfeited if you don’t know what you’re doing.  You need clear answers now, while you have the time to think and act rationally.

You shouldn’t have to go through this alone.

We’ve had the same philosophy since 1994.  It’s simple:

No disabled person should ever have to deal with this alone.

You can’t possibly be expected to cope with so much uncertainty and stress.  It’s too much for one person.  The only way to regain control is by educating yourself and talking to someone who knows the ropes.  That’s where we step in.

By using our time-tested and proven approach, we’ve successfully guided thousands of disabled professionals to safety and security.  We’re here to answer your questions and address your concerns from start to finish.

We believe you should know your options and the potential consequences.

Education and empowerment have always been the cornerstone of our philosophy.  In fact, we’ve been educating the public and guiding them through the disability claims process from the very beginning in 1994.

We created the Riemer Hess FAQ Center as a way to provide the publish with information about the claims process explained in layman’s terms.   The FAQ Center has 5 component parts comprehensively addressing the concerns of people with disabilities: Your Condition, Your Occupation, Your Policy, Your Strategy, and Litigation & Mediation.  We also created 11 ebooks on every aspect of the disability claims process, including providing proven strategies and case studies.

By sharing the information that other lawyers used in order to make matters more complicated, we demystified the disability process for those in need.  Our competitors hated us for it, but people facing disability loved it.

We knew how important it was to continue sharing these secrets with the people who desperately needed answers.  So, we got busy.

We felt that the public lacked a comprehensive resource that explains the legal side of the disability process.  So, we created one.  Our book, “An Attorney’s Guide to Long Term Disability Claims,” was first published by James Publications in 2014.  It instantly became a valued resource used by the public and other disability attorneys nationwide.

Of course, we didn’t stop there.  In 2021, we wrote and published a second more comprehensive book that addresses not only disability claims and appeals, but also disability litigation.  Our book, "ERISA Disability Claims and Litigation," was published by James Publications in 2021.

We’re proud of the contributions we made in order to educate the public.  Helping disabled individuals achieve success through education is, and always will be, one of our top priorities.

We can help you take back control.

While we share information to educate and benefit all, we go above and beyond to provide the best for our clients and help them regain control.

We saw the anxiety and stress that hourly billing caused clients and thought, “Why?” We’re not here to cause stress, we’re here to alleviate it.  So, we ditched the traditional hourly fee structure and began offering our clients fee certainty with fixed fees.  With our fixed fee structure, you’ll always know exactly what to expect.   There never are any unexpected costs.

We offer simple flat and contingency fee structures, depending on the complexity of your situation.  You’ll know precisely what we charge and exactly what you’ll get for your money.  That way, you’ll never be at the mercy and uncertainty of never-ending hourly billing.

To make us even more efficient and serve our clients better, we implemented the most advanced technology available in our profession.  We use it to streamline our internal processes to make your data accessible and understandable.  You’ll have 24/7 access to your information through your own secure Client Portal, so you can track our progress and review your documents when and wherever you want.

We also recruited and hired some of the best people in the world to work for us.  Our staff and attorneys are specially trained to meet your goals.  These are the people you want in your corner.  We get invaluable feedback from our clients and we listen.  Our clients keep telling us to keep doing what we’re doing.  They love it when we take the information, the technology and the most amazing team you’ll ever meet and use it all to advance their cause.  You will too.

Get the expert guidance you need.

Your world feels like it’s in a tailspin – navigating bureaucracy is the last thing you need.  Disability can feel impossible to manage.  We understand.  We guide our clients and their loved ones to safety every single day.  It’s all we do.  No traffic tickets in the morning or wills in the afternoon – we’re exclusively dedicated to helping you through the disability claim process.

That’s why disability is different here: there are no secrets, no mysteries.  We take away the anxiety and distrust and replace it with knowledge and control of the process and its costs.  You’ll have the information and confidence to make the right decisions you need to move on with your life.

If you find yourself hesitating, just read our client reviews.  They provide perspectives from people who were ambivalent at first about getting a lawyer involved.  They were hesitant, and rightly so.  We understand and we don’t take it personally.  Keep reading for more of what they were thinking.

CLIENT REVIEWS

Start with a consultation.

So, where do you begin?

You can take the first step to protect yourself by requesting a consultation.

Your consultation will consist of two steps: the telephone interview with our knowledgeable Relationship Manager, followed by a telephone call or video-conference with one of our partners.

First, our Relationship Manager will consult with you over the phone.  This consultation is completely complimentary.  It’s our chance to get to know your concerns, answer your questions, and find out the details of your claim, including the nature of your disability, your current work status, your disability insurance coverage, and other pertinent details.  Our Relationship Manager will determine whether our firm can meet your needs and goals.  If so, we will schedule a telephone call or video-conference meeting with one of our Partners in order to move forward.

Next, one of our partners, either Scott M. Riemer or Jennifer L. Hess, will meet with you over the telephone or video-conference.  This meeting is usually an hour, but is not restricted by time.  Your spouse or significant other also is welcome to attend.  During your meeting, the partner will conduct an in-depth interview, review your documents, and formulate a preliminary plan for moving forward with your claim, complete with next steps and a payment structure.  The partner also will answer all your questions, so come prepared and ask away.

Let us guide you and earn your trust.  We promise you won’t be sorry.
